Our Mission

The Mission of Saint Rita School is:
Living, Loving, and Learning our Faith, Together With Jesus.

  • LIVING as members of our Catholic Parish Faith Community,

  • LOVING God and all His creation, and

  • LEARNING for our future on earth and in heaven.

Our History

In 1925, Augustinian priests and brothers arrived in Racine where they converted a bowling alley into a chapel. St Rita’s Church was dedicated in 1926. In September 1929, St. Rita School opened under the direction of two Racine Dominicans. In 1952, the parish purchased the North Racine School on Highway 32 (now Lathrop Furniture) to accommodate the parish’s growing school population. Still expanding, in 1966, the first five rooms of the current school building were erected. They made additions over the years, including a gym, kitchen, and science room. St. Rita School officially became a part of the Siena Catholic Schools of Racine in 2018. Please click the button below to learn more about Siena Catholic Schools of Racine.

St. Rita Today

Our school is located on the beautiful sprawling campus of St. Rita Parish. The building consists of 18 classrooms, an art room, library, and a gymnasium containing a stage. Recently the lighting, floors, security, and fire safety systems have been updated. Outdoors we have an enclosed playground area, large blacktopped playgrounds, and an expansive field. It is very important to us to keep our facility and grounds up to date, clean, and safe to ensure that we are providing a comfortable, healthy environment conducive to learning.
